About Chesapeake Bay Psychiatry
Chesapeake Bay Psychiatry is a private psychiatric practice built around one simple idea: care should feel clear, respectful, and personal from the very first interaction.
We serve adults and children ages 7 and older across Virginia by telehealth, with limited in-person appointments in Chesapeake based on availability. Our practice is self-pay, which allows us to communicate clearly about fees and care without the usual insurance-driven confusion.

We are here to help
Whether you are new to psychiatry or looking for a practice that communicates more clearly, we are here to help.
Our Approach
We believe patients do best when they feel heard, informed, and involved in the plan. That means taking time to understand what is going on, explaining options in plain language, and helping patients move forward with more confidence.
What makes our practice different
A small-practice experience
You are not navigating a giant system. We keep the process personal, responsive, and easier to follow.
Thoughtful medication-focused psychiatric care
Our core work centers on psychiatric evaluation and medication management, with added expertise in ADHD testing, women’s and perinatal mental health, and medical weight management.
Telehealth-first access across Virginia
Patients can meet with a provider from home as long as they are physically located in Virginia at the time of the visit.
Clear self-pay pricing
We do not bill insurance directly. Patients know what they are paying for and what to expect.
